JOB PURPOSE

Driving business objectives and fostering community through social media management. To drive positive customer interactions through engaging social media experiences with customers and amplify brand voice through strategic initiatives for business.

KEY OBJECTIVES

Senior Social Media Manager plays a crucial role in shaping a brand’s online presence and driving key business goals through strategic social media initiatives. The objectives can be broadly categorized into five main areas :

  • Drive growth and engagement for the brand on social media.
  • Guide the social media agency/partners to deliver on high standards of content experience on the social media handles across statics, videos, and interactive formats.
  • Build & optimize the strategy for social media performance.
  • Create brand advocacy and strong community through continuous customer interactions and consistent brand communication on social media.
  • Collaborate with the media team and lead the creative innovation which helps improves the performance of paid media campaigns.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

A Senior Social Media Manager is a seasoned strategist and expert navigator of the digital landscape. It is expected that one goes beyond mere execution, driving impactful social media initiatives that align with corporate objectives and amplify brand voices. Skills we are looking at as follows:

  • Be an ace at project management and stakeholder collaborations.
  • Should be highly creative and be able to enhance the content quality across the mediums (Static, video or copy)
  • Should be data-driven and possess analytical approach, to drive insights from comprehensive social media analytics.
  • Must be curious and have a learning mindset to keep up with the nuances of different platforms’ algorithms.
  • In the past has played a role of a campaign architect, who can strategize and delivery on the brand’s macro and tactical communication objectives.
  • Expected to have great presentation skills with exceptional writing and editing skills, crafting clear, concise, and compelling documents that elevates the business communication with the organization.
  • Experienced in Online Reputation Management for the brand will be an add-on.

QUALIFICATIONS

The role of senior social media manager is expected to have the below qualifications:

  • Educational: Must Graduation, Great to Have: MBA in Marketing.
  • Hands-on experience in social media management as an admin or community manager.
  • Good to have Certifications: Facebook Blueprint, Twitter flight School, Google Analytics
  • Expert in using social media tools like: Hootsuite, Unmetrics, Sprout Social, Buzz Sumo, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud.

EXPERIENCE

Years of Experience: 7 to 12 years of experience in social media management.

Previous Brands: Should have worked with Luxury Brands or Premium Entertainment (SVOD) Brands.

Project Type Experience: Ideally has worked on multiple digital video projects and should be familiar with production efforts.

Influencer Engagement: Has collaborated with multiple influencers as well as celebrities in the previous role to achieve the brand communication goals.

Social Media Community: Expected to have hands-on experience on social media management.

Team Management: Ideally managed the agency level social media team or been a social media team manager at the brand side.
