About the job

The Role:

This individual would be responsible for the GTM of strategic products as well as owning the sales and business KRAs for these products. The role involves leading a team for managing sales outreach but at the same time being an individual contributor for the strategic, cross functional stakeholder management and management communication aspect for the business of the assigned product. This isn’t a pure delegation or “manage through people” role. The individual will work with multiple stakeholders including Product Managers, Marketing team to drive growth for the product across the customer lifecycle from acquisition to retention. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management, a strategic mindset and a passion for developing and motivating individuals to achieve exceptional results.

Roles And Responsibilities:

  • Own and drive the business numbers and sales of the assigned product.
  • Analyze the data & client base, steer sales funnels and come up with further segments and execute the sales plan on the ground to scale the product
  • Develop newer value propositions for the product through a detailed analysis of the customer segment and the market.
  • Draft and execute a go-to-market plan in conjunction with other stakeholders such as Product and Marketing.
  • Understanding merchant needs and aligning the product roadmap to those needs.
  • Aggressively chase the open leads and close those sales deals end to end through the team and directly
  • Meeting with existing and prospective customers as Subject Matter Expert (SME) through the team and directly to communicate / present Razorpay’s unique value proposition during executive presentations, demonstrations and solution discovery sessions
  • Increasing product penetration in the market through clear articulation and establishment of product USPs.
  • Meeting customer technical teams through the team and directly to gather business and technical pain-points and insights and arrive at solutions.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • You are comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • You are a go-getter and love the thrill of chasing business numbers while setting up new revenue streams
  • You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and can create effective positioning and communication strategies.
  • You understand technology, but love customer-first & business-first thinking.
  • You have 8-10 years of experience in B2B sales, product marketing, growth marketing, and/or product management.
  • You have strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  • You have an analytical mindset with the ability to use data-driven insights to guide decision-making.
  • You are comfortable and experienced in working with cross-functional teams and steering the organization objectives.
  • Candidates from the payment industry will be preferred but not mandatory.
  • Work experience in top-tier consulting firms, product management, SAAS sales / tech startups is preferred.
  • Preferably bachelors in engineering and masters from tier-1 biz schools.
