About The Department
The Commercial & Corporate Affairs – GBS unit is responsible for driving deliverables for multiple Corporate Vice President (CVP) areas within Commercial & Corporate Affairs, including Insulin, GLP-1 and Obesity, and other serious Chronic diseases marketing, Market access, Commercial Planning, sustainability and Commercial Operations.
The Position
The primary role of this position is to drive commercial strategy and performance for Commercial Diabetes team lead, the team and work towards ensuring success of the responsible product portfolio by driving relevant projects, being responsible for marketing deliverables according to the plan and to manage complex core processes in marketing for assigned tasks such as budget planning, approval, etc. Commercial Diabetes team is responsible for driving insights, commercial strategies, collaterals, Therapy Area development, Lifecycle management, Launch planning and develop future proof strategies for upcoming launches. This role requires strong leadership and ability to collaborate across organisational boundaries i.e. HQ, Business Areas & affiliates.
- Contribute towards development of commercial strategy, required communication collaterals & campaigns.
- Ensure continuous innovation & optimize productivity by integrating and developing new tools & bringing external perspective thereby ensuring it’s well integrated with Commercial Diabetes area approach.
- Build newer capabilities to ensure organization achieves strategic objectives in Commercial Diabetes area.
- Continue developing strong people management/leadership capabilities within the team and drive excellence in Quality & Execution.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or above in relevant area
- 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing and sales, project management
- People management experience is must exhibiting the following competencies:
- Marketing strategy formulation & implementation
- Launch Excellence
- Leadership
- Planning & organisation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills – ability to make data driven and fact-based decisions.
- Quality mind-set.
- Proven track record working in global and/or regional environment preferred.
- Diabetes therapy understanding & experience is preferred.
