About the job
Purpose of the position
The Business Development Manager is primarily responsible for selling Internal and Supplier Audit solutions to new clients, across BSI’s core area of expertise. This role is responsible for identifying and managing sales opportunities, building an in-depth understanding of client business needs and drivers, to position how BSI solutions can enable organisations to improve and manage the sales process to a successful conclusion whilst maintaining critical success factors such as high activity (visit rates) pipeline health and growth and exceeding sales targets.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Proactively network with new clients to build a healthy pipeline of new clients
- Work alongside colleagues across division with specialist subject / sector knowledge to establish solutions with clients
- Utilise the BSI sales tools to identify opportunities and sell a BSI integrated solution to meet the customers need. Produce accurate sales forecasts in a timely manner.
- Accurately record sales and order information in the CRM.
- Work with the operations teams to provide a timeline for delivery to meet client’s objective and remedy any issues.
- Routinely review sales activity and quality KPIs, based on sales ratios to plan future sales activities to deliver on financial and activity targets.
- Remain up to date with developments in the industry and develop confidence to discuss with clients
- Understand the BSI’s to digitally enable client solutions and ensure this infused in the client solution

Knowledge and Experience
- Strong sales / business development background
- Solution sales
- Experience in working with large clients and account management
- Strong understanding of best practice in areas of internal audit and risk.
- Knowledge or experience in the Assurance market

- Enthusiastic, demonstrating initiative and ability to work alone or part of a small team
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in navigating CRM platforms (SFDC)
- Proficiency in other languages
