  • design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees
  • apply a broad range of software engineering techniques, from analyzing user needs and developing new features to automated testing, ci/cd and other devops practices
  • ensure the quality, security, reliability, and compliance of our solutions by applying our digital principles and implementing both functional and non-functional requirements
  • build observability into our solutions, monitor production health, help to resolve incidents, and remediate the root cause of risks and issues
  • learn new technologies and practices, reuse strategic platforms and standards, evaluate options, and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind
  • work in an agile way as part of multi-disciplinary teams, participate in agile ceremonies, and collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and others
  • understand, represent, and advocate for client needs
  • share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, help with hiring, and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities
  • act as people and development manager to engineers in digital prospecting and marketing (dpm) crew, be a mentor supporting growth and career progression and ensure high standards are applied across the organization
  • support and enable the chapter with new / emerging practices, learning opportunities and capability building
  • connect chapters to the wider ubs community of guilds, engage as thought and action leader beyond the borders of the crew
  • work with crew leads and agile coaches to understand and resolve challenges, opportunities and areas of collaboration
  • support the broader strategy and goals of their organization to ensure chapter members are equipped to understand in their context

Your team
You’ll be working as an engineering leader in the (DPM) crew in Pune. We are responsible for WMA (Wealth Management Americas) client applications that focusing on enabling client doing business with UBS on their own terms. This leadership role entails working with teams in US, Poland, Hungary and India. You will play an important role of ensuring scalable development methodology is followed across multiple teams and participate in strategy discussions with business, and technology strategy discussions with architects. Your expertise

  • excellent Technical experience as a full-stack engineer lead with more than 13 + years.
  • working proficiency with GitLab, Github
  • hands-on expertise in Java, Java related technologies, Spring Suite, Microservices and React JS, Node JS
  • hands-on with Azure Cloud (preferable) or any Cloud Technology ( AWS)
  • sound knowledge on CI/CD
  • should demonstrate best Engineering practices and implement.
  • problem-solving and Debugging skills
  • collaborative team member and should have managed multiple PODS including Production support.
  • working knowledge in agile methodology.
